Catering Planners
Plan the food. Enjoy the occasion.
Ordering food for a group comes with a lot of choices. Catering Planners helps Shopify customers build a catering order step by step, while giving the catering team the details they need to prepare it.
Start with the occasion and guest count. Choose a package, build the menu and carry the details into the Shopify order—or ask for a delivery quote when the location needs a conversation.
A familiar frustration
It’s never just “add to cart”.
How many guests? Which dishes? Any extras? Where’s the event? A catering order needs answers that a standard product page can’t always capture clearly. Missing one can mean another call or email before the kitchen can plan.
A better way through it
Make each choice easy to follow.
Customers choose a date, guest count and package, then work through the menu and delivery options. The choices stay attached to the order, with the merchant’s pricing and selection rules checked along the way.
What you can do
A clearer order, from the menu to the kitchen.
01 /
Build the menu around the occasion.
Choose guests, package and dishes in a guided builder. The caterer sets minimums, menu limits and optional extras for each package.
02 /
See what’s been ordered.
Carry readable menu selections and pricing into the cart and order record. Customers and the catering team can refer back to the same choices.
03 /
Leave room for a delivery conversation.
Use configured fees for supported areas. For an “Other” delivery location, send the order details as a quote enquiry without taking payment.
Behind the build
Shopify Standard and eligible Plus checkout capabilities are handled within a shared catering workflow, with presentation matched to the merchant’s plan.
